Crochet loopstitch colourful fur sheep free pattern

 

 

I’ve always loved crocheting lambs. Now that Easter is approaching, I want to share my favorite pattern. You may be wondering why lambs are so colorful? On the one hand, this makes them even more cheerful, and on the other hand, they remind me of an old film whose story takes place not far from where we now live. In one of the scenes in the film, colorful, painted sheep run out into the pasture after one of the characters practiced hair dyeing on them ... I wish everyone a Happy Easter!
 

 

To crochet these cute sheep you need:

• yarn in green, pink, blue, grey (in different shades) and black  (100% acrylic, 50 g/ 135 m)
• 4.0 mm crochet hook
  
• fiberfill 
• big sewing needle and scissors
• googly eyes (10 mm) 
• glue

The finished crochet loopstitch sheep is about 18 x 16 cm.

Abbreviations:

ch = chain

st = stitch

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (2 sc in one st)

inc-lpst  = increase (2 lpsc in one st)

dec = decrease (2 sc together)

dec-lpst  = decrease (2 lpsc together)

Work with green or pink or blue yarn.

Rnd 4: (lpsc in next 2 st, inc-lpst) repeat 6 times {24}

Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing. 

 

Legs (make 4)

Work with grey yarn.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring {6}

Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times {12}

Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times {18}

Rnd 4-6: sc in all 18 st {18}

Rnd 7: (dec)  repeat 3 times, sc in next 12 st {15}

Rnd 8: (dec) repeat 2 times, sc in next 11 st {13}

Rnd 9: dec, sc in next 11 st {12}

Rnd 10-14: sc in all 12 st {12}

Stuff slightly

Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.

Use black yarn to make the sheep's nails. Insert your needle in the middle of the magic ring and it will pop out at the seventh row where you decreased the stitch. Repeat this stitch twice while pulling the yarn tight. Tie the two ends of the yarn together and hide them in the leg.

 

Tale

Work with green or pink or blue yarn.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring {6}

Rnd 2-9: lpsc in all 6 st {6}

Do not stuff.

Flatten the tail and crochet 3 st through both layers, closing the hole.

Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing. 

 

Assembly

• Sew the top of the head to the head, skip every third stitch of the top. If necessary, use a little more fiberfill.

   

  
  
  

   

• Embroider the nose in a Y shape with black yarn and make recesses for the eyes. Pull the yarn tight while working.
